YOUR HEALTH AND SAFETY IS OUR PRIORITY!

At Shepherd’s Bakehouse, the health and safety of our team members, customers and communities is always our priority.
We place immense value in the trust the community gives us to deliver safe, freshly baked goods and take this responsibility seriously.
Considering the COVID-19 health crisis, we have implemented a number of additional, proactive health and safety measures to ensure we can continue to provide you with the best, and safest, products possible.

REINFORCED HYGIENE AND HANDLING
We always practice rigorous hygiene and handling procedures throughout all stages of the bread delivery process – from making, baking and delivering. This includes regular hand-washing, routine equipment and surface sanitisation and wearing gloves when handling our products.
Additionally, we regularly have food and safety auditors in our locations making sure Shepherds food safety and hygiene practices are being upheld.
We have also installed extra sanitisation units for anyone visiting our Sefton Bakery Location.

STAFF HEALTH AND SAFETY
We have been working closely with health authorities to ensure we are in the best position to minimise the spread of infection should a team member present with symptoms or be diagnosed with COVID-19.

This Includes.
• Mandatory staff training on COVID-19
• Store posters outlining the steps to take should a customer, or employee present as unwell
• Daily communication to share the most up-to-date information from the government and health authorities to keep staff informed.
• No staff who themselves or family have travelled overseas within the past 14 days will be allowed to work, they are to seek medical advice and self-isolate for 14 days before returning to the workplace.
