Shepherd’s Reheating Instructions

People often ask for reheating instructions for Shepherd’s products via Facebook and email. Especially during current social isolation, customers just like yourself are looking to indulge at home by buying our croissants, pies, sausage rolls and pizzette in store or online, and then reheating them at home for a quick, satisfying meal.

We thought we’d collect all of the reheating instructions for our various products in one handy location, which you can refer to whenever you purchase Shepherd’s products and are wondering how to restore them to their ‘fresh baked’ glory. Enjoy!

Croissants (filled)

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius (i.e. medium)
  2. Place croissants on grease proof paper-lined baking tray
  3. Heat for 8 minutes, then remove from oven, open and carefully test temperature inside.
  4. Return to oven for a few minutes more if required
  5. Serve alone or with ice cream on the side!

 

Sausage Rolls and Savoury Rolls

reheating instructions

  1. Remove from freezer and allow to thaw in the fridge.
  2. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius (i.e. medium)
  3.  Place rolls on grease proof paper-lined baking tray
  4. Bake on a middle rack of the oven for 10 minutes, then remove
  5. Check for heat in centre and crispiness of pastry, and return to oven if needed for 5 mins more as required.  Ensure filling is very hot before eating.
  6. Serve with sauce of your choice

 

Pies

reheating instructions

  1. Remove from freezer and allow to thaw in the fridge.
  2. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius (i.e. medium)
  3.  Place pies on grease proof paper-lined baking tray
  4. Bake on a middle rack of the oven for 15 minutes, then remove
  5. Check for heat in centre and crispiness of pastry, and return to oven if needed for 5 mins more as required.  Ensure filling is very hot before eating.
  6. Serve with sauce of your choice

 

 

Pizzette (Mini Pizzas)reheating instructions

  1. Remove from freezer and allow to thaw in the fridge.
  2. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius (i.e. medium)
  3.  Place pizzette on grease proof paper-lined baking tray
  4. Bake on a top rack of the oven for 10 minutes
  5. Finish off under a medium grill for a few minutes to ensure cheese is ooozy and grilled.
