Welcome to Shepherd’s Castle Towers
Castle Towers is where it all began for Shepherd’s bakery cafes. Michael Shepherd – our head baker and one of three founding directors – lived locally during the early days of Shepherd’s, so it was a natural first choice when we were looking for great locations to open a café. We opened our first Castle Towers café on a shoestring, with IKEA shelving and a second hand pie warmer… and we’ve never looked back!
Since then, the local Hills District community has supported us through thick and thin. We’ve moved three times within the Towers centre, eventually to our current beautiful custom-fitted, stylish home in the freshly refurbished food court. Many familiar faces from those early days still visit us at our Castle Towers store, where it’s our pleasure to serve them our hot pies and sausage rolls, GF treats, croissants and muffins and of course, a loaf of sourdough to take home and enjoy!
