We’ve proudly been a part of the fabric of the Hills District, in Sydney’s leafy north west, for as long as we’ve been in business. One of three Shepherd’s founders, Michael Shepherd, hails from this neck of the woods, and his wonderful Mum, Joy Shepherd, still works in our Castle Towers bakery cafe. The local farmers market, held at the Castle Hill Showground, was one of the first markets we held a stall at waayyy back when Shepherd’s was really just three guys, a tiny bakery, and a big dream.
That’s why we’re super proud to unveil our brand new, custom-built Shepherd’s concept cafe in – where else – Castle Hill, which opens it’s doors on Thursday, December 5th. We’re located right in the heart of Castle Towers refreshed Food & Dining precinct, with a beautiful new space we’re sure you’ll love.
Part of our DNA is a strong belief that you shouldn’t have to live within 5km of the Sydney CBD to be able to access amazing, fresh artisan produce – like handmade sourdough bread – and our new Castle Hills bakery cafe is living proof of this philosophy.
We’re re-opening with a bang, too, as you may expect! You might already have heard that to celebrate the refresh of our Castle Towers store, we’re giving away a cute, high-quality tote bag to any customers who buy 2 loaves of bread (they’re also for sale).
But did you know, we’re also feeding the thousands of hungry shoppers who are expected to flock to the centre this week to explore the new and refurbished areas, with a delicious mix of sweet and savoury treats?
We’ll be sharing our Nice Kitty Bites – clean, refined-sugar free, gluten free vegan sweets – as well as our signature sourdough with toppings, from Thursday Dec 5 through to Sunday Dec 8, from 2pm-5pm each day. Staff will be roaming the centre to help keep up the energy of Christmas shoppers.
